Who sells it
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Your license
Buying Asterysm gives you a personal license to use it, with no end date, on up to three computers of your own, Mac or Windows in any mix. It includes every update we release.
The license is yours alone: you may not share it, resell it, or use it to let other people write in Asterysm.
The trial
You may download Asterysm and try it for free. Until you activate a license, it opens only its sample novel, doesn’t keep changes to it, and marks what you export from it as a sample.
Your work is yours
Everything you write in Asterysm belongs to you. Your books are files on your computer: we never see them, collect them, or claim any right to them.
Without a license, Asterysm still opens them to read on their pages, and to export as text.
Updates
Every update is included with your license, for as long as we make Asterysm. On Windows they come through the Microsoft Store; on a Mac, the app looks for them while your computer is online. Asterysm never needs the internet to write.
Refunds
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying, once per person. The Refunds page says how.
What we ask
Please don’t copy, resell, or redistribute Asterysm, get around its license, or take it apart to build something from it, except where the law allows you to.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep your writing safe: Asterysm saves as you write, keeps every scene’s history, and makes backups. Even so, it’s provided as it is, and you’re responsible for keeping copies of what matters to you.
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost work or for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll update them here and change the date at the top. A change never takes away a license you’ve bought.
The law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live, and can go to the courts there.
